Thanks for giving us the link for this! My M.E. specialist can't advocate Vit D enough! We should all be taking this supplement to help prevent cancer and other illnesses. Love Nin

I have been reading about Vitamin D, mainly in the medical journals, because I was diagnosed with a severe deficiency. This post in the link below is a good summary and not overstated. The medical journals are full with Vitamin D research! Only this year there have been several hundreds of publications about Vitamin D (if you have access to medline, search for 'Vitamin D'). In addition to the diseases and problems listed in that posting by Hafs, Vitamin D deficiency is related to depression.
It will not be something that will work right away, but it is definitely worth checking your Vitamin D status. It is a blood test, and from what I understand, doctors do not request this routinely because they are not aware of the problem.
I will try to read more about this and then post again once I understand more what is going on.
